Updated tattoos I want/like/ideas

I have posted about 2-3 times about ideas for tattoos I want. Since I am turning 18 in a tad less than 4 months, I am getting excited to finally get my first one.

Which, as most people close to me know, is going to be a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson "" on my the inside of my right forearm. I haven't decided the font of it yet, or the exact style. 

But the rest of the tattoos I am thinking of getting, are likely to be debated for a long time before I get them.

Here is that list:

An astrological tattoo. I was thinking about getting something scorpio-esque. I don't know where, it will probably be somewhere not very visible to me. I don't know whether I want the symbol of the zodiac, the constellation or the actual scorpion. It will probably by on my hip or back somewhere.

A hummingbird under my left pointer finger.

I want some form of band-like tattoo around my arm, near my elbow, whether it is above or below I don't know yet. I want it to either be very modern and just a straight line, or lacey. 

I was thinking about getting a small fern on one of my feet or ankles. It represents strength and endurance, and since I strength train and run endurance, I think it would be fitting.

I want a map of the world... somewhere. It was going to be on my arm, then I decided not to. Now I am thinking around my ankle. Maybe I'll put North and South America along with iceland/greenland etc, on my left leg and the rest (europe, asia australia) on my right. Or just around one of my ankles.

I want something swirly around my ankle. I was thinking about just getting something like a ribbon or something decorative, but I also thought I could get a really long quote in small print that looks like a line going around my ankle, until you look closer.

I'm starting to see a problem with my ankles. They are filling up quickly.

I am thinking about getting a second quote (undecided) on my other arm. I want something on my left forearm as well, but I don't know what, yet.

Most of my tattoos are pretty timeless, or at least them seem as so. Except for one I want. Lately I've wanted a tattoo to do with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I don't know what. I was thinking about getting their names somewhere, but maybe just their initials. If I do get something to do with them it will probably be somewhere on my feet, or my toes, where I don't look too often, but when I do look, I am reminded of them.

I am still considering getting a maple seed somewhere on my hand, representing my father.

Later in life, I might give in and get a giant tattoo along the left side of my body. Something tribal or lacey. 

Most of my tattoos will be around my ankles/feet or my arms/wrists/hands. I don't really want a tattoo I can't see, or easily read, especially if it is meaningful and not decorative. 

A lot of times I say things I want to do and I don't follow through, but I am definitely getting that quote tattoo, or perhaps the hummingbird tattoo, by the end of November, if not on my actual birthday (October 28th).

I think I like tattoos so much because they are so artistic. It's like clothes you can wear all of the time. I love symbols and symbolism, and I hope to get a bunch of random little symbols all over the place. 

I am excited.

#15 30 Day Writing Challenge- My Horoscope

For today's writing challenge I am supposed to write about my horoscope and whether or not I think it applies to my personality.

I already did a post similar to this, before. But I actually do have more to say about it.

I am a scorpio. Typically scorpios are considered to be sexy, passionate, either your enemy or your friend... here are some pictures to help me describe scorpios:



I found out something new about horoscopes. Each horoscope splits into three parts, called "decans". I am of the first decan of the scorpio. (October 24- Nov 2). Generally these scorpios are the most mysterious, magnetic and secretive. Also, they are the most sexual decan of all decans of all zodiacs.


Now onto the actual part of the writing challenge, do I think my zodiac describes me? Yes. Most of it, yes.

There are 2 things that I see as characteristics of the scorpio, that I don't think apply to me.
1: Having a "magnetic personality". I don't have a magnetic personality, but I do find quite often that people with problems in their lives tend to stick to me like magnets. So I don't know if that counts.
2: I read quite often that scorpios would rather be with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light. I would rather be alone in the light than with a friend in the dark. Whatever.

Anyways. I was doing a lot of research about zodiacs, and really there is nothing really to prove them. They are based off of greek myths and such. It's like saying I believe in Athena, if I say I believe in zodiacs.

Although, I honestly think my zodiac does apply to me. Quite often when I find out the zodiac of people I care about, I look it up, and I often find it applies to them a lot.

Now my problem with the zodiac is the daily horoscope, because I often find that they aren't accurate at all.

I don't want to say I fully believe in zodiacs and invest 100% of my support behind them, but I do think they are really cool, and really accurate.

Oh yeah, there is one last think that I think is interesting. Compatibility. There is a compatibility chart for zodiacs, and I never follow it.

Apparently Cancer, Pisces and other scorpios are my best matches.

I haven't met any pisces, other than my father. One of my best friends is a cancer, but I don't think I would like a male pisces because they are really kind and gentle. Which is a good thing. Unless they have like a secret dark side, I don't think I could last more than 2 years with a cancer. Then scorpio. 2 of my best friends are scorpios, and so is my mom. But as a match? I don't see it happening. I get annoyed really easy at other scorpios. Although this is fine for friendships, I don't think an actual relationship would last too long before we got in a disagreement. Since scorpios are stubborn... the resolution isn't too... well good.

I tend to be attracted to leo and gemini. I think it is because they are generally more social than I am. But they never last because they fall apart. But I just find them the most intriguing.

The other zodiac I like is taurus. I have had 2 friends that were tauruses. I am not the best of friends with them anymore... but I like tauruses. The only thing I hate about them is how blunt they are.

Obviously I am not pickiy about zodiacs, I don't think everyone is their zodiac. It's just interesting.

Last point! Just something random, but how I was talking about "being magnetic" earlier and how people with problems are often drawn to me... well I find anyone born in between November 23- February 19th is drawn to me, but I am not drawn to them. They are Saggitarius, Capricorn and Aquarius. They make good friends for me because I can usually get a lot more favours out of them, then they do, me. But anyways. Just a weird factoid.

Zodiacs are weird.

Better go have sex now because I am the first decan of scorpio.

Horoscopes

Lately I've been kind of out of it and running low on blog ideas.

Something on my mind lately has been horoscopes.

I am a scorpio. If you google descriptions of horoscopes, I find that I am very close to the description of scorpio which generally is:
- Secretive
- Emotional
- In need of commitment
- Competitive
- Sensual

I don't know if I necessarily "believe" what my horoscope tells me on a daily basis, but I check it on most days.

Yesterday this was my horoscope that I checked on my app on my phone:

Honestly my horoscope wasn't overly accurate except for the bit about the "lull". Yesterday was pretty stressful because I wanted to work on assignments, but I had work, and then my mom kept distracting me and I didn't get anything done. I also have a bunch of assignments, all of a sudden, and I really don't want to do them. So that was that. I was very emotional, so that bit by the bottom was accurate. I was feeling creative too.

I've been looking at other horoscopes too, for compatibility for friendships and stuff.

I remember that Pisces and Cancer were to of the most compatible for friendships and relationships. One of my best friends is a Cancer, and my dad was a Pisces. 

My mom, 2 of my friends and I are all scorpios. Basically they say that scorpios are good together except the fact they can get competitive a lot.

Other than pisces, cancer and scorpio, I have a few friends that are taurus, sagittarius and capricorn. I also have an Aquarius friend. Most of these have medium compatibility for friendship.

I don't have any virgo, libra or aries friends. 

A psychic once told me I could be a Libra and a Capricorn, and that they are the horoscopes that I am closely like, along with scorpio. 

The weird thing is that I am usually attracted to leo and gemini, which are two of the least compatible signs for scorpio. Leo is usually outgoing and gemini is opposite to scorpio in the way that gemini likes change and scorpio likes stability. 

Weirdness.

I think horoscopes are fun. But I don't believe in them 100%. The descriptions tend to be accurate though.

I think I am kind of like a cross between a Scorpio, Libra and Gemini. Libra and Gemini are air signs which means they think a lot. Scorpio is a water sign which means they are emotional. I am close to being a Libra, because my birthday is October 28, and scorpio starts at October 23, so I am close to earlier in the sign for the birth dates. 

It is interesting I suppose.
